March 3, 2015 was truly a great day to be a Raider! Our Class of 2015 learned the meaing of service in a first hand way.
Every year, we dedicate a day for students to remain in their connections classes with their connections teachers. Each grade level has their own focus. This year, our freshman went to Cleveland State Community College, our Sophomore and Junior class took the writing assessment, and our Senior Class spent the the day focusing on service projects around our city.
Senior classes could be found at Wellington Place of Cleveland, Foundation House, Westwood Baptist Church, North Clevel
and Baptist, The Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Cleveland Middle School, and several of our Cleveland City Elementary Schools.
While our seniors were busy serving, our Freshman were busy learning about the ins and outs of being college ready. Cleveland State Community College provided a complete college orientation like experience! They learned that paying attention to ACT scores, applying yourself, and having motivation to always do your best is what it takes to be sucessfull in college. CHS Freshman learned a lot about the technical aspects of the registration and application process at Cleveland State Community College. They were equipped with the knowledge of the technical aspects of what it takes to make college happen.

Overall, from writing assessments to cleaning bleachers, our students were exposed to what it really means to be a Raider!
