2015 TEAM RUSTY

Rusty Cooke, a graduate of Cleveland High School has been diagnosed with precursor T cell Lymphomablastic lymphoma/leukemia. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, but is about to embark upon the second phase of his treatment in Nashville. That will mean 100 days of stem cell treatment which will require him to stay there for daily treatment. I am planning a Run for Rusty on April 12, 2015 @ 2pm in the Greenway. Registration info will be posted on his TEAM RUSTY Facebook page. The proceeds from the run/walk/stroll will benefit his family as they travel back and forth and actually live in Nashville while he is getting treatment. On that day we would love to take a photograph of the entire group of TEAM RUSTY supporters on the football field at Cleveland High. It will be something he can take with him to Nashville as a reminder of those who are supporting him while he is in isolation for those 100 days. Questions? Contact me at 423-650-6239 or rdlhonda@gmail.com or message us at TEAM RUSTY FB page
On April 12, 2015 TEAM RUSTY will host a "Run for Rusty" to raise money for Rusty Cooke and family in his courageous fight against precursor T cell lymphomablastic lymphoma/leukemia. Rusty must go to Nashville to receive stem cell transplants and will be required to stay there for 100 days. It will be very expensive. Rusty and his wife, Erika Lawson Cooke are both graduates of Cleveland High. Erika cheered there. We would love to have a strong showing from Cleveland High School.
